Copyright Policy

Publication of a paper in Diálogos Interdisciplinares does not imply the transfer of the authors’ copyrights to the journal or its publisher. The authors remain the owners of their works and retain all corresponding rights in full; there is no assignment or waiver of rights at any stage of the editorial process.

By submitting a manuscript, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to perform the activities necessary for the publication and dissemination of the accepted work, including its reproduction, distribution, and preservation. This authorization also includes the deposit of metadata associated with the article in systems for persistent identification, indexing, and digital preservation.

The granting of this non-exclusive license does not prevent authors from continuing to freely dispose of their works. Thus, authors may reuse, republish, translate, adapt, or license the work to third parties without requiring prior authorization from Diálogos Interdisciplinares.

Articles accepted for publication are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, the terms of which can be found at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.pt-br.

This license allows third parties to copy, distribute, reuse, adapt, or transform published works in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes. To do so, proper credit must be given to the authors, the original publication in the journal must be cited, and any modifications made to the original content must be disclosed.

The adoption of the CC BY 4.0 license also does not prevent authors from entering into other non-exclusive agreements for the distribution or making available of their works. In such cases, the original publication by the journal must be cited.

The journal does not impose embargo periods or other restrictions on the deposit of manuscripts in institutional or subject-specific repositories, academic networks, or personal websites. The submission, acceptance, and published versions may be made available before, during, or after the editorial process.

The specific conditions applicable to each version of the work are set forth in the journal’s Self-Archiving Policy.

After the manuscript is accepted, the journal may perform technical procedures for standardization, editing, and typesetting in order to bring the work into line with the journal’s editorial standards.

The interventions carried out at this stage are exclusively editorial and technical in nature and are not intended to alter the scientific content of the work. Prior to final publication, the changes are made available to the authors for review during the final proofreading stage.

This policy is guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Guidelines for Good Practice for Journal Editors and by Law No. 9,610, dated February 19, 1998, which establishes the rules governing copyright in Brazil.
