Creatine is a nutritional supplement widely investigated in the context
of strength training, especially among resistance training practitioners, due to its
potential ergogenic effects. This study aimed to analyze the effects of creatine
supplementation on strength, endurance, and muscle recovery in individuals engaged
in resistance training, through a literature review. The search was conducted in the
scientific databases SciELO and PubMed, including studies published between 2015
and 2025. The results indicate that creatine supplementation is associated with
significant gains in strength and improved muscle recovery, particularly when
combined with systematized training programs. With regard to muscular endurance,
the findings were inconsistent, possibly due to variables such as dosage, duration of
supplementation, and participant characteristics. It is concluded that creatine presents
relevant benefits for muscular performance; however, its effectiveness depends on
individual factors and usage protocols. Future studies are recommended to further
investigate interindividual differences and the effectiveness of different
supplementation strategies
